Before The Jump
A series of prints, selected and exhibited at The Illustration Biennial in Kaunus 2021.
In 1983, the ‘World Record High Dive Challenge’ took place at SeaWorld in San Diego, California.
In this challenge, each contender had to execute a dive from 172ft and exit the water without any assistance to successfully complete the world record.
These illustrations focus on three women seated in the stadium, looking up high into the sky at their loved ones the moment before they jump.

Inside Outside - Research Project
Series of monotypes and animated monotypes, 12.7cm x 17.78cm
Between 1961 and 1989, Klein Glienecke was an exclave within the GDR with only 500 inhabitants. The wall was ever present from all directions, with just 15m from wall to wall in places.
This series of monotypes is inspired by rare archive footage taken of Klein Glienecke during GDR years.

This series of monotypes shows the location of Klein Glienecke.
An illustrated visitor map of Ampleforth Abbey and College to show areas such as the orchard and cider mill, walks around the area, roads, parking facilities, accomodation whilst also representing the luscious, rural backdrop of the grounds.

An illustrated printed and interactive map of independent shops and businesses in York, launched in Spring 2017.
This project started in 2016 after many independents were badly affected by the floods in York of December 2015 and decided to come together to create the group 'Indie York'.
Work on this project has included branding, concept and logo design, illustrations and map design (for printed and digital). Alongside this, Emily collected and created the copy and content of the first 30 members for the soft launch in November 2016.

For this project, a timer was set to seven minutes to make ‘the perfect egg’. No more or no less.
This system was created to explore the topics and narratives surrounding ‘the egg’ as well as drawing itself.
The Micklegate Run Soapbox Challenge is a hilarious go-cart race down the quintessentially English and iconic cobbled York Street.

Commission for a shop sign for a very large shop front for, 'Cycle Heaven at the Station'.
The shop sign captures the spirit and essence of York and Yorkshire - its charm, wonderful landscape, famous landmarks, range of architecture, friendliness, humour and history - both dark and heroic!
The scene also depicts the many different sides of cycling culture; from the romance of country getaways through to getting from A to B in busy, urban environments.
A series of illustrations for a German website start-coding.de aimed at children and teenagers to learn how to code and programme through playfully illustrated concepts and fun, interactive, online activities.
